The Color Consultant will provide support for the PPGAF stores operations business in the following areas: (1) Promote PPG within the professional design community, establish relationships with designers and specifiers by joining and attending trade association events, contacting professionals and distributing color tools (2) Consulting with PPG customers and professional contractors in regards to color coordination; (3) Visiting customers’ homes to provide color consultation (4) Assisting with trade show presentations, coordinating in-store seminars to homeowners/contractors, providing color training to all store and sales personnel, and conducting how-to clinics. 5) Make sales calls to outlets that could potentially specify paint colors (furniture, flooring, kitchen and bath, etc.).

The successful candidate will have 3-4 years of color consultation or interior decorating experience and 2 years of customer service experience. The incumbent is required to work flexible hours that will include some evenings and weekends. Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint, and web based applications is required. Paint and coatings knowledge is strongly preferred.
